Booked sessions & tickets

Some Outposts charge for event tickets or paid VTT seats. Buying one is identical to buying any other product — Stripe handles the payment, and you’re added to the event RSVP / room members automatically the moment payment lands.

  1. Open the Outpost’s Events tab.
  2. On a ticketed event you’ll see Buy ticket · $X instead of the usual RSVP buttons.
  3. Click it → Stripe-hosted checkout opens. Pay → you’re redirected back, and the card flips to Ticket confirmed.

You’ll get an in-app + email confirmation: “Ticket confirmed · <event name>”.

  1. Open the Outpost’s Shop tab.
  2. Pick a Game seat or Campaign arc product. The card shows how many seats are filled — “3 of 6 seats filled”. If it’s amber the room is nearing full; if red, it’s sold out.
  3. Click into the product. The detail page shows the session date
    • duration (or “Date TBC”) and, for campaign arcs, the full schedule of upcoming sessions.
  4. Click Buy now. Once payment lands you’re automatically added to the GM’s VTT room as a player — no manual invite needed.
  • Tickets → the Outpost’s Events tab shows each event you’ve bought a ticket for with a Ticket confirmed badge.
  • Game seats → open the room directly. You’ll be listed as a Player in the room members panel. The GM’s session date is on the room’s Sessions tab (if they’ve set one).
  • All purchasesYour library shows every product you’ve bought across the platform, including tickets and seats with receipt details.

You’ll get a notification: “<event title> was cancelled” or “Your GM cancelled the session”. Hosts can attach a short note — that comes through in the notification body.

PostRoll auto-refunds you the full ticket price, including the platform fee, when the host triggers a cancellation. Refunds usually appear on your card within 5-10 business days depending on your bank.

  • For events: your RSVP is removed immediately.
  • For game seats: you’re removed from the GM’s room.

If you can’t make it and want a refund (or the host can’t run the session), contact the host directly through the Outpost’s chat. PostRoll’s platform-subscription 14-day refund does not apply to event tickets or game seats — these are creator-to-creator transactions and follow the host’s policy.

If the host can’t help and you suspect fraud, email hello@postroll.app before filing a chargeback through your bank — we can usually resolve it.

Stripe emails you a receipt for every purchase immediately. Keep it for tax / reimbursement purposes — it’s the cleanest paper trail.
