The social feed
The feed (Posts in the sidebar) is where Postroll comes together — quick thoughts, fan art, polls, and showcases of worlds, characters, maps, and cards from the people and Outposts you follow.
Live & upcoming games
Section titled “Live & upcoming games”The Live & Upcoming rail shows real tables playing right now and sessions starting soon — but only from rooms whose GM turned on Allow public observers (in room settings, or per-session when scheduling). Hit Watch on a live game to preview the table — the party, the pulse, the next session — and join as a read-only observer with one click. Observers can watch the live table but never touch it, and the GM can remove them at any time. Upcoming games come with a countdown and an add-to-calendar button.
What lands in your feed
Section titled “What lands in your feed”Your feed mixes posts from Outposts you’ve joined or follow and people you follow. Two views:
- For you — ranked: recent + popular + closer-to-you first.
- Latest — strictly newest-first.
Tag pills under the switcher narrow the feed to Outposts carrying that tag. If your feed is quiet, browse the Outpost directory and follow a few communities.
Repost & quote
Section titled “Repost & quote”See a post worth spreading? Hit the repost button (the loop icon) under any post to share it onward. Choose where it lands — your wall (so everyone who follows you sees it) or one of your communities. Add a comment first to quote it with your own take; leave the comment blank for a plain repost.
Reposts show the original post tucked inside, and the original’s author gets a notification that you shared it. If the original was posted to a members-only space, people who aren’t members just see that it’s private — your repost never exposes something they couldn’t already see.
Posting
Section titled “Posting”Everything you post to the feed is a card. Click the composer at the top of the feed and it opens on a simple choice:
- Post a card (the default) — pick one of the cards you made in the Card Studio and share it straight to the feed. It shows up as your real card — custom design, both faces, flippable — for everyone who sees it. Search your cards, browse them all, or make a new one in the Studio.
- Create a card — make one right here from a template. Quick post is just type-and-send; the others are Announcement (headline + body + a button), Art (image-first with artist credit), and Poll (live voting with an optional close time). Add a title, cover image, or photos if you like. Share a creation lives here too (see below).
Use Post to to choose where it goes: your own profile wall (with a public / followers-only / only-me audience) or any Outpost you belong to.
Share a creation
Section titled “Share a creation”Under Create a card, Share a creation showcases something else you’ve built — a world, wiki page, entity, character, scene, board, or image — as a card styled for that type. Add a caption, post it, done.
Anyone who can see the post can open the card and view the full creation right there in the feed — a shared wiki page is readable in full in the pop-out, a shared map shows at full size. That’s the grant you make by sharing it; your creation’s own sharing settings still control who can open it in the app itself.
When you share (or post a card), Viewers can sets what they may do with it:
- View in the feed — they can read/see the whole thing from the feed, and nothing else. This is the default.
- View + save a copy — they can also copy it into their own library: characters, scenes, boards, and whole worlds clone straight across; wiki pages copy into a world they pick; posted cards land in their card library, keeping your custom design.
Posting a card from your library
Section titled “Posting a card from your library”Beyond the composer, you can also hit Post to feed straight from your card library or a card’s details. Either way, cards you make in the Studio render for everyone exactly as you designed them. If you allow copies, viewers can save your card from the post menu (“Save card to my library”) and use it in their own decks.
Linking to a single post
Section titled “Linking to a single post”Every post has a page of its own. Open the ⋮ menu on any post and choose Copy link — you’ll get “Link copied.” and the link is ready to paste. Notifications about a post land you on the same page, with a Feed button to get back.
Opening a post link asks you to sign in first if you aren’t already, and drops you straight onto the post afterwards.
Whoever opens it only sees what they’re allowed to. The post is checked against that person every time it loads, so a link never widens who can read something. If it went to a followers-only wall or a members-only community and they don’t qualify — or it’s since been deleted — they get “This post isn’t available.” and a way back to the feed, never the contents.
The same rule shapes link previews. Paste a post link somewhere that unfurls it into a preview card and only a post anyone could already see produces a title, summary, and image. Anything private stays a plain, unlisted placeholder.
