The Relationships tab
The Relationships tab is the cross-section view. Pick a primary
entity, optionally add up to four to compare against, and the main
panel shows only the events that involve all of them. Useful for
isolating arcs that span multiple characters or factions without the
noise of unrelated history.

Picking entities
Section titled “Picking entities”The left rail has three sections.
- Primary — the entity whose timeline drives the cross-section. Click Primary beside any entity in the search list to set it.
- Compare with — up to four entities to filter against. Click Compare beside any entity to add. The list shows the count (e.g. 2/4); the limit keeps the boolean explosion manageable.
- Search — the bottom search input filters the entity list as you type. With no compare entities selected, the panel shows every event involving the primary.
You can change Primary at any time; current Compare picks stay until you remove them.
What “involves” means
Section titled “What “involves” means”An event “involves” an entity when:
- The event is attached to that entity directly — for example, an event you created from the entity’s own timeline — or
- The event carries a link to that entity.
Both forward and inverse links count. An event attached to King Aldren that also links to Queen Mira will appear when either is picked Primary; with both picked it appears in the cross-section.
What the main panel shows
Section titled “What the main panel shows”Events sort chronologically (earliest first). Each card shows date, layer chip, title, and summary — the same styling as the Timeline tab.
Click any event to open the inspector. Hidden and Foreshadowed events follow the same rules as everywhere else; this view doesn’t bypass visibility.
If the cross-section is empty, the panel says so. Drop a Compare entity or two to widen the filter.
Patterns
Section titled “Patterns”- Friendship / rivalry arc — Primary one character, Compare another. Events involving both. Useful for dynasty histories or the Aldren ↔ Mira romance subplot.
- Faction conflict — Primary Faction A, Compare Faction B. Every event with both factions. Skip the world-history pile.
- Triple intersection — three entities. Rarer but powerful for “every event with the whole party in the same room”.
