Keyboard shortcuts

Shortcuts for the wiki editor. Throughout this page ⌘ means Ctrl on Windows and Linux, and ⌥ means Alt. Everything here works while your cursor is in the page body.

Text formatting

Working with blocks

These belong to the block menu — click the ⋮⋮ drag handle beside a block first, then press the key.

Shortcut	What it does
`⌘` + `D`	Duplicate the block
`⌘` + `C`	Copy the block
`⌘` + `Ctrl` + `L`	Copy a direct link to the block
`⌘` + `R`	Reset the block’s formatting
`Backspace`	Delete the block

Images

Select an image first — these only apply while one is selected.

Shortcut	What it does
`⌥` + `Shift` + `L` / `E` / `R`	Align the image left / centre / right
`⌥` + `Shift` + `W` / `Q`	Wrap text around the image, left / right
`⌥` + `Shift` + `S` / `D`	Shape-wrap text, left / right
`⌘` + `Shift` + `D`	Download the image

Editor

Shortcut	What it does
`⌘` + `Z`	Undo
`⌘` + `Shift` + `Z`	Redo
`⌘` + `O`	Start or stop dictation

Notes

Nothing needs saving. The page saves itself shortly after you stop typing — see The Wiki.
Shortcuts only fire inside the page body. With your cursor in the tree’s search box or a dialog, the browser’s own shortcuts win.
⌘O only works where dictation is supported — Chromium browsers and Safari. In Firefox it falls through to the browser’s file picker. See Dictation.
Emoji and mentions have no shortcut. Insert them from the / menu.
Moving a block has no shortcut on desktop. Hold the ⋮⋮ drag handle and drag instead — see Styling & moving blocks.
