The Desktop App
The PostRoll desktop app puts your worlds in their own window — no browser tabs to lose — with a few things only a native app can do.
What you get
Section titled “What you get”- A dedicated window with your dock/taskbar icon, remembered size and position, and standard keyboard shortcuts
- System notifications — invites, mentions, and session reminders arrive through Windows/macOS notifications when the app is in the background; clicking one takes you straight there
- Sign-in that sticks — your session survives restarts; Google and Facebook sign-in open in your normal browser and hand you back to the app
- Automatic updates — the app keeps itself current in the background
- Save for offline works exactly as it does on the web (see Working Offline)
Payments and checkout always open in your system browser — the app never handles card details itself.
Everyday notes
Section titled “Everyday notes”New PostRoll features appear in the desktop app the moment they ship — the app shows the live PostRoll, so there’s no waiting for an app update to get new functionality.
