Drop a track into the middle of a page — the ballad the bards sing in this tavern, the horn that sounds when the gate opens, the drone under a haunted wood. Unlike the page’s soundtrack, this one sits in the prose, where the sentence about it is.
Adding one

Type
/audioand pick Audio. -
Pick a track from your library — uploaded files and saved links are in the same list — or paste a link and press Add link.
A pasted link plays straight away without being saved to your library. If you want to keep it, save it in the audio panel first and it’ll be in the list.
What readers see
Section titled “What readers see”A small play button with the track’s name. Nothing plays until someone presses it — a page that starts talking when you open it is nobody’s friend.
Everything you’d expect to reach it, does: your master volume moves it, Stop all audio stops it, and it ducks when someone speaks in a voice channel.
This or a page soundtrack?
Section titled “This or a page soundtrack?”Both exist, and they’re for different things:
- A page’s soundtrack (the chip on the cover image) is the place. It’s an ambience that loops under the whole page, set up in the page’s sidebar.
- An audio block is a thing in the text — one track, one moment, played deliberately by the reader.
A page can have both without them fighting: the block won’t start on its own, so nothing doubles up.
