The playtest program
PostRoll isn’t open to everyone yet. Testers come in by invitation and get a curated set of features to try — we call it the Sandbox.
Your invite
Section titled “Your invite”- You get an invite link by email. Open it and you’ll see You’re invited.
- Set your name and a password. Your email address is already filled in and locked — the invite is tied to it, so there’s nothing to confirm.
- You’re taken straight into PostRoll.
If the link says the invite isn’t valid, it has already been used or has expired — ask for a fresh one. Some testers join through a shared community link instead, which uses the normal sign-up form.
Sign the agreement
Section titled “Sign the agreement”Next you’re held at Before you start until you’ve read four documents: the Playtesting Agreement, Confidentiality Terms, the Playtest Privacy Notice, and the Tester Code of Conduct. The short version is at the top of the page — the app stays ours, anything you create stays yours, we can use your feedback freely, please keep what you see to yourself, the build is unfinished and your test data may be wiped, there’s no payment, and you must be 18 or over.
Sign by typing your name. Extra permissions — recording, transcription, testimonials, screenshots, public credit — are separate checkboxes you can leave unticked. We email you a copy, and it stays readable from the avatar menu.
The Sandbox
Section titled “The Sandbox”You land on The Sandbox — a grid of twelve tiles, each one a feature you’re invited to try:
- Standalone tools open in their own screen: Map Foundry, Dice Lab, the Card Compendium, the Token Editor, and the Content Library.
- Panels open on top of the Sandbox without going anywhere: the 3D dice roller, app palettes and customisation, and the wiki side panel.
- Worldbuilding features run inside your own test world: Wiki, Entities, Timeline, and Atlas.
The narrow rail on the left is your whole menu: Sandbox to come back here, Feedback to tell us what you thought, and your avatar for Profile and Sign out.
Picking a world
Section titled “Picking a world”The first time you open a worldbuilding tile you’re asked to choose a world to test in: the populated Veilharrow demo — an example kingdom with characters, lore, a timeline and a map — or a blank world you build yourself. Keep several, rename them, switch between them; only you can see them.
Reset my slate
Section titled “Reset my slate”Reset my slate, top right of the Sandbox, deletes the maps, presets, tokens and dice data you’ve made while testing and sets you back up with a fresh starter world. It only touches your own account, and it can’t be undone.
