Files tab
The Files tab in a conversation’s details panel collects every attachment shared in that conversation in one searchable view.
Open the tab
Section titled “Open the tab”Open the details panel from the chat header (the right-pane in fullscreen mode, or a drawer in embedded / mobile). Switch to the Files tab.
You’ll see three sections:
- Images — a grid of thumbnails. Click to view full size.
- Audio — voice messages and audio uploads, with playback inline.
- Files — generic files (PDFs, etc.) listed with name and size.
Each item shows its upload time and links back to the source message — click an item to open it in the feed.
What’s not in here
Section titled “What’s not in here”- Custom emojis — they’re prose, not shared media.
- GIFs, stickers, clips, and memes picked from the media panel — they’re reactive content, and they’d bury the things people actually meant to share.
How it stays current
Section titled “How it stays current”The Files list updates in real time as new attachments land. No need to reload the panel.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”Anything you can post in chat shows up here — no separate quota. When a message is deleted, its attachments drop out of the Files tab automatically too.
