Hope & Fear
For Daggerheart-style play, Postroll rolls the duality pair — a Hope die and a Fear die (both twelve-sided) thrown together. The one that comes up higher colours the whole result.
Turn on the pair
Section titled “Turn on the pair”If your dice set already includes Hope and Fear — like the built-in Daggerheart set — the pair is on your toolbar automatically, and there’s nothing to switch on.
Otherwise, press the Add duality dice (Hope + Fear) toggle (the sparkles button) in the dice panel. A single Duality die appears on your toolbar.
-
Tap the Duality die (or your set’s Hope + Fear pair).
-
Both d12s roll together, and the result card tells you which won.
Reading the result
Section titled “Reading the result”The higher die decides the outcome:
- With Hope — the Hope die came up higher.
- With Fear — the Fear die came up higher.
- Critical — the two dice tied.
The result card shows both d12s and their combined total, with a with Hope or with Fear chip so the table knows how the moment lands.
Styling the pair
Section titled “Styling the pair”When you apply a preset or a palette to a whole dice set, Hope and Fear are given a matching bright and dark pair automatically, so the two are always easy to tell apart at a glance.
