Choosing a character

To post in-character you need a character — an actor in the world that’s bound to your account.

Pick a character for this channel

1. Click the persona pill to the left of the composer.
2. Pick a character from the dropdown. You’ll see every actor you own in the active world.
3. The pill swaps to show the character’s portrait and name. Subsequent messages post as that character until you change.

The choice is per-conversation and remembered. Joining a different campaign group? You’ll pick a different character there.

What if you don’t see any characters

You need at least one actor you own bound to the active world. To get one:

• The GM can promote an existing NPC to you, or
• You create one via Actors → New character in your world.

Default character at group join

When you join a group via invite, the new-member onboarding wizard asks you to pick a default character. Whatever you pick there is the persona pre-selected the first time you open each channel in that group. You can change it any time.
