Interests
Interests are short tags you follow — dungeon-crawl, solo-rpg,
pbta, safety-tools, anything that describes what you want to see
more of. PostRoll’s home feed ranker uses your followed tags as
positive signal: posts with matching tags are ranked higher than they
would be by recency alone.
Open the page from your avatar → Settings → Interests.
Adding a tag
Section titled “Adding a tag”- Type the tag into the input. Lowercase, no spaces; the leading
#is optional and gets stripped automatically. - Press Enter or click Follow.
- The tag appears in the Tags you follow chip strip.
You can follow as many tags as you like — there’s no cap. Common
patterns: a genre tag (gothic, cyberpunk), a system tag (d&d,
pbta), a play-style tag (solo, west-marches, episodic), or a
safety-tool tag (lines-and-veils, x-card).
Removing a tag
Section titled “Removing a tag”Click the chip. Each chip is a one-click unfollow button — the optimistic remove happens immediately and reverts if the server rejects it.
How the ranker uses tags
Section titled “How the ranker uses tags”Tag follows are stored with a per-tag weight (currently default 1.0 per follow). The home-feed ranker sums the weights of any followed tags that appear on a candidate post, multiplies them by a global tag boost, and adds the result to the post’s score.
You can also follow tags inline by clicking the + Follow button on a tag chip in the feed — that writes to the same store and shows up in the chip strip on this page.
