Navigating & the mini map

Once your World Map is drawn, the controls in the bottom-right corner let you move around it, jump to any spot with the mini map, and set the view your table starts from.

Everything sits in one group in the bottom-right, and it’s the same group you’ll find on boards, the Map Foundry and the VTT — so it works the same way wherever you are.

The tall column on the right is always about the view itself:

  • Zoom in and Zoom out, with the current zoom shown between them as a percentage. Buttons grey out once you reach the map’s limits.
  • Fit to screen — frame the whole map in the window.
  • Centre the map — keep your zoom, and recentre on the middle of the map.
  • Hide at the foot of the column folds the whole cluster away. The chevron stays put; click it again to bring everything back.

The strip under the mini map holds everything specific to a World Map: Layers, Filters, View mode, and the sound toggle. Hover any button to see what it does.

In Edit mode, wherever you leave the map — how far you’ve panned and how far you’ve zoomed — becomes the starting view everyone sees, and the view a room opens on. During a live session your own panning doesn’t change that default; each person keeps their own last spot.

Above the strip sits a small picture of the whole map, with your pins as little dots. The part you’re currently looking at is punched out as a bright window in the dimmed miniature, outlined in your palette’s accent colour. Drag anywhere on it to pan the main map to that spot.

  • Edit — you’re building the map.
  • Explore — everyone can roam the map freely.
  • Guided — the table follows the GM’s view.

Picking one tells you what it does underneath the choice. In a live room only the GM can change it: everyone else sees which mode is on, greyed out, with a note saying why.
