Initiative tracker

/init posts a live initiative tracker into the channel as a chat card. It mirrors the combat state from the linked play room — the GM advances turns at the table, the chat card updates for everyone watching.

Post the tracker

In a channel linked to a play room with active combat, type:

/init

The card appears showing the turn order, the current actor, the round counter. Pin it (right-click → Pin to channel) to keep it at the top of the channel during the encounter.

How it stays in sync

The card follows the room’s combat state. When the GM advances the turn at the table, every chat card pinned in linked channels updates with the new current actor — no manual refresh needed.

Useful for

  • Play-by-post combat where the table is asynchronous — players can see whose turn it is without opening the VTT.
  • Live sessions with players watching from a phone or another device while the GM drives the canvas.
  • Recap channels where you want a snapshot of the encounter state at the time it was posted.
