Player journals

A journal is where you write down what happened, what you suspect, and the name of the innkeeper you’ll definitely forget.

The important part: journal pages are real wiki pages that you own. They’re not a scratchpad in a side panel — they get the full editor, wiki links, backlinks and the world graph. Link a journal entry to an NPC and that NPC’s page shows your entry among its backlinks (for you).

Journal lives in the rail down the side of the app, so it’s the same place whether you’re mid-session or catching up on a Tuesday. Open it during play and the tabletop keeps running behind it.

Your journal for a room is also on the room’s page, so you can read back over the campaign without joining the table.

Yours, by default. Nobody — including the GM — sees a journal page unless you share it.

To share one, use the same sharing controls any wiki page has. That’s the same mechanism the GM’s handouts use, pointed the other way: they hand things to the table, you can hand things back.

The editor is the full wiki editor, so anything you can do on a world page you can do in a journal: headings, links, embedded cards, images. Notes save as you write.

Journals need somewhere to live. A room that isn’t attached to a world gets a Campaign notes world created for it the first time someone writes a journal entry, so you can start writing without setting anything up first.
