Promo codes & perks
PostRoll distributes promo codes for launch programs, partner promotions, and Open Outpost invites. Codes can grant any combination of:
- Free outpost ownership — skip the Booster requirement when creating an outpost for a window of time.
- Free featured-slot boost — pin a listing to the top of the
marketplace
/gamesrail without paying. - Free tier pass — Booster or Collector tier for a fixed number of days.
- Platform-fee override — % off the platform fee on outpost sales for a window.
- Subscription discount — a percentage off a Booster or Collector subscription, applied automatically the next time you check out.
Redeem a code
Section titled “Redeem a code”- Open Redeem from the app sidebar (or go to
/app/redeem). - Paste your code.
- Click Redeem.
- The success panel lists each perk you just unlocked. If the code grants outpost ownership, the panel offers a one-click jump into the outpost-creation modal.
Using a subscription discount
Section titled “Using a subscription discount”A subscription-discount code doesn’t change anything until you upgrade. Once you’ve redeemed it:
- Go to Choose a plan (or Settings → Billing) and pick the plan you want.
- If the discount covers that plan, it’s applied automatically — the reduced price shows on the Stripe checkout page before you pay.
- Complete checkout. The discount stays attached to your subscription for its full length (a single invoice, a set number of months, or for as long as you stay subscribed — whatever the code specifies).
Sharing a code as a coupon ticket
Section titled “Sharing a code as a coupon ticket”If you receive a PostRoll promo code as a coupon ticket image — a branded card with a QR code — you don’t need to type anything. Just scan the QR with your phone; it opens the redeem page with the code already filled in, so you only have to confirm. The same ticket works pasted into emails, posted to a community, or printed.
See your active perks
Section titled “See your active perks”Settings → Perks lists every active grant from your past redemptions with its expiry date. When a grant is close to expiring, you’ll get an in-app notification a week ahead so you can decide whether to subscribe to keep the feature live.
Where your perks appear
Section titled “Where your perks appear”The Perks page is read-only — a list of what you currently hold, one row each:
- Free outpost ownership — how long it lasts, or Indefinite.
- Platform-fee override — the reduced fee, and whether it covers one outpost or all of them.
- Free featured-slot boost — the length of the boost.
- Tier pass — which tier it grants.
- Subscription discount — the percentage off, and whether it applies to your first invoice, a run of months, or forever.
Each row shows its expiry date, or No expiry. Once a perk runs out, whatever it was covering goes back to normal — so subscribe before then if you want to keep the feature. A Redeem another code button at the bottom takes you back to the redeem screen; if you have no perks yet, the page shows a Redeem a code button instead.
Sharing + limits
Section titled “Sharing + limits”- Codes are usually single-use per person but the platform may set a higher cap (the redeem screen will tell you).
- Codes may have a total redemption limit across all users — if you see “this code has reached its redemption limit”, you’re too late on that one.
- Some codes have start / expiry windows.
