Voice messages
Voice messages are short audio clips — useful when typing isn’t fast enough or when you want to convey tone (a NPC voice, an in-character monologue).
Record
Section titled “Record”- Click the audio icon next to the composer to open the recorder above it.
- Hit Record and speak. The waveform shows live; Stop when you’re done.
- Preview by hitting Play. Re-record if you don’t like it.
- Hit Send to post the clip into the channel.
What recipients see
Section titled “What recipients see”A waveform bubble with a play button and total duration. Tapping play shows a moving playhead. Voice clips also appear in the Files tab of the conversation details panel under “Audio” so they’re easy to find again.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”- Maximum length is bound by the upload file-size cap — in practice a few minutes per clip is fine. Longer than that, consider posting in pieces or moving to a voice channel.
- Browsers without microphone access can’t record. The first time you click Record, your browser will prompt for mic permission.
Permission
Section titled “Permission”Voice messages count as message attachments. Channel members need the Attach files permission to send them; receivers don’t need anything special.
Related
Section titled “Related”- Sharing files, images, and links
- Joining voice — for live voice instead of clips
- Dictation — speech-to-text for typed messages
