Assets

Your asset library is the home for every file you upload to Postroll. Open it from Assets in the app — the Asset Manager at /app/assets. Upload a map, token, or piece of art once and reuse it anywhere in your worlds.

  • Images — battle maps, tokens, character portraits, cover art, and reference pictures. PNG, JPG, and WEBP are the mainstays; GIF and SVG preview too.
  • Every upload made elsewhere in the app — a board image, a wiki cover, a card’s artwork — lands in this same library, so nothing gets lost.

Anything you buy — or add for free — from the marketplace, like maps and asset packs, shows up in a Purchased section in the sidebar (it appears once you own at least one). Use these just like your own files — drop them onto a scene, a board, or a wiki page from the usual image picker. Because they belong to the creator, you can’t rename, delete, or reorganize them, and they don’t use up your storage.

Every plan includes storage for your library. You can check how much you’ve used on the Billing page in Settings.

Plan Total storage Largest single file
Starter 1 GB 20 MB
Booster 10 GB 50 MB
Collector 100 GB 100 MB

Anywhere Postroll asks for an image, you can pick from your library instead of uploading again: scene maps and tokens in the VTT, image nodes on boards, card artwork, wiki covers and inline images, actor portraits, world covers, and more. See Using assets across Postroll for the full tour.
