Banning and kicking
Two levels of removal: kick (they’re gone but can rejoin via a new invite) and ban (permanent — they can’t rejoin).
Kick a member
Section titled “Kick a member”- Group settings → Members.
- Find the member, open the row’s overflow menu (
⋯). - Pick Kick. Confirm.
The member is removed from the group’s member list. They can be re-invited later.
Ban a member
Section titled “Ban a member”- Group settings → Members.
- Find the member, overflow menu → Ban.
- Optionally add a reason — recorded in the audit log.
- Confirm.
A ban kicks them and adds them to the group’s ban list. The same link, a fresh link, anything — they can’t rejoin until the ban is lifted.
Lift a ban
Section titled “Lift a ban”In Group settings → Members → Banned, find the user and click Unban. They can be invited again with a fresh link.
Role hierarchy
Section titled “Role hierarchy”You can only kick or ban members whose highest role is strictly below your own. A junior moderator can’t ban the Owner; a Game Master can’t ban another Game Master at the same role position.
This rule applies to role assignment too — you can only assign roles below your own highest.
Permissions
Section titled “Permissions”- Kick —
Kick memberspermission. - Ban —
Ban memberspermission. - Both also need to satisfy the role-hierarchy rule.
