GM Storefront

GM Storefront is a new Outpost type built for selling games. It separates your GM brand (“Matt the GM”) from any specific table or actual-play show (“The Wednesday Crew”). Players choosing a GM land on your storefront and pick from your listings; fans of a particular show land on the table page.

You can own one GM Storefront. You can own multiple Game Tables (one per ongoing show or campaign), Creator Studios, Publishers, etc. — those are different surfaces with different jobs.

If any of these apply, create a GM Storefront:

  • You sell paid games (game seats, campaign arcs, session passes).
  • You want a single public page that lists every game you GM.
  • You want pro-GM trust signals — verified status, hours run, response time, reviews.

If you only run private games for friends or follow / browse without selling, you don’t need a storefront.

  • Booster subscription (the standard Outpost-ownership gate). Selling paid games adds the Collector Monetisation gate.
  • Stripe Connect onboarding if you’ll publish paid listings.
  1. From your Outposts dashboard, click + Create Outpost.
  2. Choose GM Storefront at the top of the type picker.
  3. Pick a name (your GM brand — “Matt’s Tables”, “The DM Doctor”, etc.) and a slug. The slug becomes your storefront URL (postroll.app/g/[slug] once the public page ships).
  4. Visibility:
    • Private while you’re setting up.
    • Unlisted to share with playtesters via link.
    • Public once you’re ready to be discovered.
  5. Click Create. You’re taken to the storefront’s admin.

A pro running an actual-play show alongside paid one-shots typically has:

  • One GM Storefront (the brand)
  • One or more Game Tables (one per ongoing show or campaign)
  • Optionally a Publisher outpost if you sell modules or adventures alongside

Each listing can optionally link to a Game Table so the listing shows on both your storefront and the table community page.

The public storefront page (/g/[slug], ships in the marketplace release) renders:

  • Hero: your banner, avatar, display name, pronouns, languages, verified status.
  • Headline: e.g. “10yr 5e GM, sandbox style”.
  • Trust strip: chips for verified, top_rated, fast_responder, new_player_friendly, accessibility_champion, experienced.
  • Aggregate metrics: hours run, sessions completed, response-time p50, rating + count.
  • Listings: your direct listings + any cross-listings where you’re the credited GM on another Outpost (e.g. a publisher’s demo).
  • About / GM style.
  • Reviews aggregated across your listings.

Today (Marketplace 1 release): the storefront type exists, accepts listings, and the listings panel surfaces them on your existing Outpost home tab. The polished public page ships in the marketplace discovery release.

Your storefront row has slots for:

  • Headline — short tagline shown on the hero.
  • Hourly rate — indicative range cross-referenced with your cheapest published listing.
  • Languages — ISO codes (en, fr, de, …).
  • Years experience — 0–80.
  • Intro video URL — embedded on the storefront page.
  • Pronouns — free text.

These are editable from the Storefront admin tab (lands in the storefront-polish release; for now the columns exist on the row and accept direct updates).

GM verification lives on your profile (not the storefront) — because a background check is on the person, not the brand. Once approved, the Verified GM badge cascades to every Outpost you own (your storefront and any Game Tables).

The full application + admin review queue ships in the storefront-polish release.

If you were already selling paid games from a Game Table, we automatically promoted your most-active one to a GM Storefront. Your slug, banner, members, chat, tiers, and shop are unchanged — only the kind of outpost changed. You’ll see a one-time banner showing your new storefront address (/g/your-slug).

If you had multiple Game Tables with paid products, only one was promoted; the rest stayed as Game Tables. Listings created from those products preserve the table_outpost_id link so play still surfaces on the table page.
