Joining a group
Most groups are private — you join by clicking an invite link from the group’s GM or owner.
Accept the invite
Section titled “Accept the invite”- Open the invite link in your browser. If you’re not signed in, you’ll be prompted to sign in or create a PostRoll account first.
- The redeem page shows the group name and who invited you. Click Accept invite.
- You’re added to the group’s member list and dropped into the group’s home view.
New-member onboarding
Section titled “New-member onboarding”The first time you enter a group, a short three-step wizard runs:
- Pick a character. If the world has actors you can claim, pick one to use as your default in-character persona. You can change it later or skip if you’re observing.
- Pick which channels to follow. Highlight the channels you want to receive notifications for; the rest are muted by default. You can adjust per-channel later.
- Optional accent colour. Pick a colour for your name as it appears in this group’s chat. Or leave blank to use the group’s accent.
Hit Done at the end and you’re in.
What if the link doesn’t work
Section titled “What if the link doesn’t work”- “This invite has expired.” The GM set an expiry date that’s passed. Ask them for a new link.
- “This invite has been used the maximum number of times.” The GM set a maximum-uses cap on the link. Ask them to issue a fresh link or raise the cap.
- “You’re banned from this group.” A GM has explicitly banned your account. Reach out off-platform — bans are permanent unless the GM removes them.
