Adding tokens

Putting pieces on the map is the GM’s job — the table turns away tokens placed by anyone else.

Click Add Token in the toolbar. A small floating panel titled Tokens appears, and you can drag it wherever it suits you. Click Add Token again to close it.

  1. Set the Size (grid squares) and Vision shape at the bottom of the panel first — they’re applied to whatever you drop next.
  2. Pick a thumbnail from one of the three tabs.
  3. Drag it onto the map and let go where you want the piece to stand.

The token appears there for everyone at the table straight away.

Tab What’s in it
Default A handful of built-in pieces, including a plain white square that’s perfect for a quick unnamed body.
My Tokens Your own token art — everything in your token library.
Characters The characters assigned to this room. Only shown when you’re playing in a room.

Each row shows the character’s portrait, their name, and a small subtitle: Your character if the character is yours, or Linked to actor if it belongs to one of your players.

Dragging one of these onto the map places a token that is already linked to that character — so the player who owns it can move it immediately, and its sheet is one right-click away. It’s much less fiddly than placing a blank token and linking it afterwards.

Two controls sit in the panel’s footer and apply to every token you drop:

  • Size (grid squares) — 1 is a normal humanoid. Use 2 for an ogre, 0.5 for something tiny. You can change it later from the token’s settings.
  • VisionCircle for a creature that sees all around it, Cone for one with a limited facing. Also changeable later.
