Cards

Cards are at the heart of PostRoll. They represent spells, items, abilities, NPCs, and anything else you want to track in your game. Create them from templates, restyle them, play them at the table, and share them with other players.

Click Cards in the sidebar. The hub has three tabs:

  • My Cards — every card you’ve made, plus cards shared with you. Search, filter by system, type, or tag, and browse as a grid or flip through them one at a time.
  • Templates — your reusable designs and templates shared with you. From here you can fill a card, edit a design, or duplicate one.
  • Compendium — thousands of official, ready-to-play cards for D&D 5e and Daggerheart. See Compendium.

There’s also a Decks tab that takes you to your card decks.

Every card and every template has its own page too — open one from any list to see it full size with all its actions, or share its link directly.

  1. Click New Card (from My Cards, or go to the hub and pick a tab’s create button).
  2. Choose how to start:
    • Fill a template — pick one of your templates and fill in its fields.
    • Design a template — build a new design from scratch in the Card Studio.
    • Start from the compendium — use an official card as your starting point.
  3. Fill in the card’s fields. The front and back previews update as you type.
  4. Click Create card.

Once your card is saved, PostRoll asks “What next?”:

  • View card — open the card’s own page.
  • Post to feed — share it to your profile or an Outpost. See Posting cards to feeds.
  • Create another — go straight back to the fill screen.
  • Done — return to where you started.
