Members & roles
Everyone at a table holds one of three roles — GM, player or observer — and exactly one person is the owner. The owner isn’t a role; it’s whoever made the room, and it sits on top of whatever role they hold.
- GM — runs the game. Can promote, demote, kick and ban, and shares most of the owner’s control over the room itself.
- Player — the default. Full participation: sessions, RSVPs, polls, the chronicle, chat, a character.
- Observer — along for the ride. Watches rather than plays.

Section titled “Who can do what”| Action | Who |

| Start and end a live session | Owner or GM |
| Cancel and refund a paid session | Owner or GM |
| Promote, demote, kick, ban | GM only |
| Room settings, invites, delete the room | Owner only |
| Schedule sessions, RSVP, polls, chronicle, quotes, vibe, reactions | Any member |

The Party panel
Section titled “The Party panel”Party on the room’s Overview tab lists everyone, with a GM badge on your game masters (there’s no badge for players or observers), an Invited badge on people who haven’t accepted yet, and presence at a glance: In session, In lobby, Away, “stopped by 3d ago”, or Offline. The Manage pill opens the member manager.
Your role on the profile card
Section titled “Your role on the profile card”In a chat channel that belongs to this room, clicking someone’s avatar opens their profile card with an At the table block: the room’s name, their role — GM, Player or Observer — how long they’ve been at the table, and the characters they play here (a character who has died or retired says Fallen or Retired beside their name). If they’re in voice right then, the card says In voice now, and that line is live rather than remembered.
Manage Room Members
Section titled “Manage Room Members”Open Manage Room Members from the Manage pill, or from the player-count chip in the top bar. Search a username, Search, then Add. Each row has a role selector, Resend for a pending invite, a ban button and a remove button.
Adding someone, changing a role and removing someone are all staged — nothing happens until you hit Save (“Members updated.”). Ban and Resend, by contrast, fire the moment you click them.
Promoting and kicking during play
Section titled “Promoting and kicking during play”Promote, demote, kick and ban also live in the Online Users panel inside the play view — and for kick and ban, that’s the only place they exist. Enter play, open Online Users, and act on the person there.
