The token library
Tokens are the miniatures of your virtual table — framed portraits that stand in for characters and creatures on scene maps. The Tokens page is their home: your own on one tab, tokens shared with you on the other.
Creating a token
Section titled “Creating a token”-
On the Tokens page, select + Create Token.
-
Under Base Image, upload a picture or pick one from your asset library. Use Remove Background to cut the subject out cleanly — and Restore Original if you change your mind.
-
Style it with the editor’s tools:
- Shape — circle, square, or hexagon.
- Frame — material presets like Gold, Silver, Obsidian, and Emerald, with thickness, glow, and shadow controls.
- Fill — a backing colour behind the art.
- Label — a name ribbon that can run straight, arc, or circle the token.
- Effects — image adjustments for the art itself.
-
Under Settings, give the token a name, a size (1x1 up to 4x4 squares), and tags to keep the library searchable.
-
Select Save Token.
On a phone, switch between Edit and Preview to work on the canvas and check the finished look.
Tokens, actors, and scenes
Section titled “Tokens, actors, and scenes”A character or monster can carry several tokens picked from your library — a fresh face, a bloodied variant, a disguise. When that actor takes the field, their token is what players see on the map and what you move, target, and light in a scene.
Small copies of each token load automatically in the library grid, so even a big collection stays quick to browse.
Managing the library
Section titled “Managing the library”Click a token card to expand it, then click Details for Edit, Share, Duplicate and Delete. Duplicating copies the whole design (“Goblin (Copy)”) so you can make variants without starting over; sharing works like the rest of PostRoll, with viewer or editor access.
