Your public profile
Every PostRoll user has a public profile at
postroll.app/app/u/<your-username>. It’s what other members see
when they click your name in a member list, a post header, or a
recent-purchase row.
What shows on your profile
Section titled “What shows on your profile”- Avatar + display name — your first / last name if set, otherwise your username.
- Username —
@<username>underneath the name. - Status line — your custom status (and emoji) when it’s active. Cleared automatically when your status’ clear time passes.
- Role chips — GM and / or Player badges based on the toggles in your settings.
- Country chip — when set in your profile.
- Joined date — the day you signed up.
- Game systems + interests — chip lists, surfaced when populated.
- Outposts — a grid of public and unlisted Outposts you own or are a member of. Private Outposts never appear here, even to you.
What stays private
Section titled “What stays private”- Your email address.
- Outposts you’re in that are set to
private. - Direct messages, group chats, owned worlds (unless explicitly shared as public).
- Anything you upload to your library by default.
The profile card in chat
Section titled “The profile card in chat”Clicking someone’s avatar or name on a chat message opens a compact
card that draws on the same profile. It shows their avatar, name,
pronouns, @username, whether they’re online, their bio, how long
they’ve been on PostRoll, how long they’ve been in that Outpost, any
Outposts the two of you share, and their follower count — plus
Follow, Message and View profile. Nothing on it is
private: it’s your public profile, at message size. If your profile is
private (or the two of you have blocked each other), the card shows
only your avatar and name.
Message is greyed out when your DM settings don’t allow that person to start a conversation — see Following and play presence.
Linking to a profile
Section titled “Linking to a profile”Anywhere a username is rendered (member rosters, post headers, recent-supporter activity), it’s clickable straight to the public profile. The Outposts tab on the profile lets visitors hop directly into the spaces you contribute to.
