The Daggerheart System Reference Document

The Daggerheart System Reference Document is a complete reference for Darrington Press’s game — 263 adversaries, 210 domain cards, 312 weapons, 47 environments, every class, ancestry, community and transformation, and the full core rules — free for every PostRoll account, forever.

PostRoll is on SRD 2.0, the Hope & Fear release: the four new classes (Assassin, Brawler, Warlock, Witch) and their subclasses, the tenth domain (Dread), six new ancestries and six new communities, the six transformations, and everything Hope & Fear added to the adversary and environment catalogues.

You can browse the whole SRD on the web with no account at postroll.app/reference/daggerheart — or add it to your Library to search and link it from your worlds and wikis.

  1. Open Library from the app sidebar.

  2. Find Daggerheart System Reference Document under “Free to add” (or on its marketplace page) and click Add to library — Free.

  3. That’s it — the SRD opens in your Library, and stays there.

  • Browse by category — Adversaries, Domain Cards, Classes, Subclasses, Ancestries, Communities, Transformations, Weapons, Armor, Items, Consumables, Environments, Beastforms, Campaign Frames, and the six core-rules chapters — with the chapters in the left sidebar.
  • Search inside the SRD with the search box at the top of the sidebar: type “Acid Burrower” or “Vulnerable” and jump straight to the entry.
  • Adversaries show a proper stat block above the full text, and a flippable card below it — the front carries Difficulty, thresholds, HP and Stress; the back carries its moves and Fear features. The HP and Stress boxes are clickable, so you can track one adversary straight from the page.
  • Follow links in the text. Rules terms mentioned inside an entry — a condition like Vulnerable, a domain, a class — become links, so you can jump to that rule and back without losing your place.
  • Peek without leaving the page. Hover any in-text link and a short preview pops up, so you can check what “Restrained” means mid-sentence and read on.

Everything below is on the open web, needs no account, and is built on this same SRD data.

  • Encounter builder — spend Battle Points across all 263 adversaries. Three of the six SRD adjustments depend on your roster rather than your intent, so they’re applied for you. It reads out how the fight will play, suggests what goes well with what and says why, and starts you from one of six encounter shapes.
  • GM screen — the rules you look up mid-sentence, the dice, the Fear pool and countdowns, and the fight you built, on one screen. Press Run this in the builder and the encounter arrives here with its scene.
  • Duality dice roller — roll Hope and Fear in real 3D. Give it a Difficulty and it names which of the five outcomes you got, then moves your Fear and countdowns by what that outcome dictates.
  • Fear & countdown tracker — phone-first, opens instantly, and remembers where you were.
  • Browsers for adversaries, environments and beastforms — every entry in one sortable table, with columns nothing else has: how much Fear an adversary’s features want, and how many times Relentless lets it act.
  • Link from a wiki page — type [[ and pick the entry from the Reference group. Hovering the link shows the stat block without leaving your page.
  • Copy a link to any entry and drop it in chat or session notes.
  • Entries cross-link to each other — domains on a class, conditions in an adversary’s features — so rules lookups stay one click deep.

A handful of entries that were in SRD 1.0 have no counterpart in 2.0 — a few named magic weapons, an adversary, an environment. PostRoll keeps them rather than retiring them, badged as legacy content, because a campaign built on 1.0 still needs the stat block. Two adversaries were renamed rather than dropped (Zombie Legion is now Ghastly Legion, and the Outer Realms Corruptor is now the Corrupter); their old links still work and land on the new entry.
