Dice rolls
Roll dice in chat with /r (or /roll). The result posts as an
embossed card with the breakdown, total, and any flavour text you
add.
Basic syntax
Section titled “Basic syntax”/r 1d20/r 2d6+3/r 4d8 fire damage/r 2d20kh1+5 # roll two d20s, keep highest, add 5 (advantage)/r 2d20kl1+5 # keep lowest (disadvantage)/r 4d6kh3 # 4d6 keep highest 3 (D&D ability score)Anything after the notation is treated as flavour and shown under the total (“fire damage”, “stealth check”, etc.).
Critical highlights
Section titled “Critical highlights”When you roll a d20:
- Natural 20 — the bubble glows and announces the crit.
- Natural 1 — tinted red; the breakdown shows the fail clearly.
Crits are detected on the rolled die, not the total — a 1d20+15
that totals 35 still highlights the natural 20.
Secret rolls (GMs)
Section titled “Secret rolls (GMs)”Use /rs instead of /r to roll where only GMs see the result.
Players see “Aerin made a secret roll” in the feed. See
Secret rolls.
Roll on a saved table
Section titled “Roll on a saved table”Use /roll-table <table name> to roll on a saved roll table from
the active world. See Roll tables.
Rolls in linked rooms
Section titled “Rolls in linked rooms”If the channel is linked to a play room (campaign room with
the virtual tabletop), /r and /rs also post into the room’s
game log. The roll is the same; the surface count doubles.
