Dice rolls

Roll dice in chat with /r (or /roll). The result posts as an embossed card with the breakdown, total, and any flavour text you add.

/r 1d20
/r 2d6+3
/r 4d8 fire damage
/r 2d20kh1+5 # roll two d20s, keep highest, add 5 (advantage)
/r 2d20kl1+5 # keep lowest (disadvantage)
/r 4d6kh3 # 4d6 keep highest 3 (D&D ability score)

Anything after the notation is treated as flavour and shown under the total (“fire damage”, “stealth check”, etc.).

When you roll a d20:

  • Natural 20 — the bubble glows and announces the crit.
  • Natural 1 — tinted red; the breakdown shows the fail clearly.

Crits are detected on the rolled die, not the total — a 1d20+15 that totals 35 still highlights the natural 20.

Use /rs instead of /r to roll where only GMs see the result. Players see “Aerin made a secret roll” in the feed. See Secret rolls.

Use /roll-table <table name> to roll on a saved roll table from the active world. See Roll tables.

If the channel is linked to a play room (campaign room with the virtual tabletop), /r and /rs also post into the room’s game log. The roll is the same; the surface count doubles.
