Forced movement

Some cards shove a creature around — a thunderous blast that pushes everything back, a hook that drags a target in. When one of those resolves, the card pauses and hands you a crosshair so you can choose exactly where the token ends up.

The cursor becomes a crosshair and the map picks up three things:

  • A dashed ring around the moving token showing how far it can go.
  • A line from the token to your chosen spot.
  • A distance chip at the crosshair reading, for example, Push 15 ft — it updates as you move.

Along the bottom of the screen is the instruction line — “Push the token — click to place (max 20 ft)” — with Confirm and Cancel buttons.

Move the cursor to where you want the token and click, or press Confirm. The spot snaps to the grid and never leaves the ring.

Which spots are allowed depends on what the card does:

Card says Where you can place
Push Directly away from the caster, along the line between them
Pull Directly toward the caster, and never past them
Slide Anywhere inside the ring

The label on the chip and in the instruction line follows suit — Push, Pull or Move.

Action What happens
Click on the map, click Confirm, or press Enter The token moves to the marked spot and everyone at the table sees it
Click Cancel, press Escape, or right-click The move is dropped
