Voice for GMs
Voice is priced per table: it needs you on Booster or above, and then everyone at your table joins free. As GM you also carry the moderation controls.
Opening voice with the session
Section titled “Opening voice with the session”When you Start Session, the table asks Open voice for the table? — Start voice joins you straight away; Not now leaves it for later. Tick Remember my choice to skip the question next time (change it back under the Session tab’s voice card).
Players get a notification that the table is live, with a link that drops them straight into voice.
Muting and removing
Section titled “Muting and removing”In the Players tab, the ⋯ on anyone in voice has:
- Mute mic — mutes them for the whole table. They can unmute themselves; it’s a nudge, not a lock.
- Remove from voice — disconnects them from voice. They can rejoin while they’re still a member; to keep someone out, remove or ban them from the room.
Mute all at the top of the Players tab mutes every mic but yours.
Observers
Section titled “Observers”Observers can only listen. To give one a voice, use Let them speak on their row; Revoke speaking takes it back. They’ll see the mic control appear (or disappear) immediately.
Presenting your screen
Section titled “Presenting your screen”Share your screen from the dock, then hover your share’s tile and click Present to table. Every player sees it as a full-screen theatre over the map — the same treatment as a handout — which they can dismiss and bring back from the dock. Stop presenting on the same tile takes it down; the share itself stays in the dock until you stop sharing.
Ending the session
Section titled “Ending the session”End Session closes voice for everyone: each player sees “Session ended — voice closed” and the table goes quiet. Voice opens again when you start the next session.
When players can’t join
Section titled “When players can’t join”- “Voice needs the GM on Booster” — voice & video is part of Booster. Your plan covers your whole table; a player never needs their own.
- “Voice opens when the GM starts the session” — players can only join while the table is live. You can join before starting, to be there first.
- A player at another table’s voice at the same time has to leave that one first — one voice room per person.
