Applications, RSVPs, and party bookings

PostRoll listings come in three flavours, set by the GM on each listing’s Booking mode:

  • Instant book — pay and join. Standard Stripe seat checkout.
  • Application — the GM reads your message and decides.
  • Free RSVP — no payment, capacity-capped.
  1. Open the listing page (/games/[gm]/[game]).
  2. Click RSVP →.
  3. (Optional) Pick a party size 1-8 if you’re booking for a group.
  4. Confirm.

Your seat is held immediately. You’ll show up in the linked VTT room’s roster + the My purchases → Upcoming tab. You can withdraw your RSVP anytime from the same Upcoming card; the seat frees up for the next player.

  1. Open the listing page. The CTA reads Apply →.
  2. Write the GM a short message — playstyle, experience, schedule fit. Whatever helps them say yes.
  3. (Optional) Pick a party size if you’re applying as a group.
  4. Submit.

The GM has 7 days to respond. You’ll get a notification when they approve / decline / waitlist you.

  • Approved (paid listing) — you get a one-shot checkout link valid for 72 hours. Pay → seat confirmed.
  • Approved (free listing) — your seat is confirmed right away.
  • Declined — the GM may include a short note. You can browse other games on the marketplace.
  • Waitlisted — the GM might come back to you if a seat opens. You can withdraw from My purchases anytime.

My purchases → Upcoming lists every booking that’s not yet played out:

  • Paid seats from instant-book purchases (the existing flow).
  • Free RSVPs.
  • Approved applications, including the pending checkout link if the listing is paid.
  • Per-session rows for campaign arcs.

My purchases → Library keeps the post-session view — once a seat is marked attended by the GM, you’ll get a prompt to leave a review.

If you’re the GM, applications land in Outpost → Admin → Applications. Each card has Approve / Waitlist / Decline buttons. Approving a paid listing’s application mints the one-shot checkout link automatically — you don’t have to chase the applicant for payment yourself.

The cancellation policy field on your listing editor surfaces under the listing’s refund policy block — use it to set expectations around session cancellations, missed-session etiquette, and group ground rules.
