Listing media

The Listing media section of your listing editor turns your listing into a showcase: the buyer sees the actual scene the campaign opens on, the actual premise wiki page, the actual handouts you’ve prepared — not just a cover image and a description.

What gets stripped

When you add a scene / wiki page / actor as listing media, PostRoll shows the visual surface and strips everything GM-private server-side:

You can’t accidentally leak scene state — the redaction is server-side, not “trust the front-end.”

Add media to a listing

  1. Open your listing editor (Outpost → Admin → Listings → [your listing]).
  2. Scroll to the Listing media section.
  3. Click Add media. A picker opens.
  4. Pick a kind:
    • Scene — show the map
    • Wiki page — premise, factions, lore
    • Card — character / item / spell card art
    • Actor / NPC — portrait of a recurring character
    • Image / handout — any uploaded asset
  5. Pick a resource from your library.
  6. Click Add. The tile appears on your listing immediately.

Reorder and caption

In the manager:

  • Caption field on each tile (optional, 280 chars). Shows on the public tile.
  • ↑ / ↓ buttons reorder tiles. The buyer sees them in display order.
  • 👁️ Eye toggle — hide a tile from the public listing without deleting it (useful for staging changes).
  • 🗑️ Trash — remove the tile. Doesn’t affect the underlying scene / wiki page.

How buyers see it

Each tile renders on the public listing page (/games/[gm]/[game]):

  • Scene — your map image with caption overlay. Live parallax rendering ships in a follow-up release; the M3 release shows a static thumbnail.
  • Wiki page — image + title + summary excerpt (or first ~220 chars of content if no summary is set).
  • Card / Actor — image + name + type/system.
  • Image / Handout — direct image render with the credit line.
  • Trailer video — inline <video> player.
  • Testimonial — quote block with attribution.

Limits and quirks

  • A single resource can appear on multiple listings.
  • A single listing can show the same resource twice with different captions (e.g. two angles of the same scene).
  • Hidden / archived wiki pages refuse to publish as listing media — the redaction function rejects them even if linked.
  • Unlisted outposts: the media tiles render on the listing detail URL but the listing itself doesn’t appear in the discovery feed or sitemap.
