Hiding and revealing pins

A pin you drop as GM starts hidden. You see it dimmed, with a dashed ring on the ground — the same language the map uses everywhere for your players can’t see this. They see nothing at all.

Reveal it from the pin’s card, the right-click menu, or the eye button in the Pins panel. Hide it again the same way.

If you would rather drop visible pins — mid-session, marking things the party can already see — turn Create hidden off in the Map Pins panel. It stays off until you change it back.

Revealing a pin during play does two things: the marker appears on everyone’s map, and — if you press Show to table — it opens full-screen for the whole party at once, the same way a handout does. It also lands on the room’s handout shelf, so a player who dismissed it can find it again.

Players place pins too, and choose who sees them:

  • Shared with the party — everyone at the table.
  • Kept to myself — only that player and you. The party sees nothing.

Nobody can edit or move someone else’s pin. As GM you can see and manage all of them.
