Switching scenes mid-session

The party leaves the tavern and rides for the ruins. You don’t reload anything or send anyone a link — you pick the next scene and the whole table goes with you.

  1. Click Scene Control on the toolbar (GMs only, and only inside a room). The GM Scene Control panel opens with your Scene Library.
  2. Find the scene you want. Click a row to open a larger preview with its map, description and creation date, then click Switch to this scene — or click Switch on the row to go straight there.
  3. Every screen at the table fades to black, swaps to the new scene, and fades back in.

The new scene becomes the room’s active scene, so anyone who joins later — or reloads — lands on it too. Your players don’t have to do anything.

If the room has no active scene yet, the GM sees two big buttons in the middle of the play area: Select Scene and Create Scene.

Create Scene builds a new scene and makes it the room’s active scene immediately, broadcasting the change to everyone — so a scene created this way goes live the moment it exists. See creating a scene for what goes into one.

Anything unsaved on the current scene stays as it was in the live session, but if you want a durable checkpoint of where things stood — token positions, fog, lights — take one first. See saving & rewinding.
