GM verification & trust badges

PostRoll verifies GMs so players can spot proven storytellers at a glance. Verification is optional but recommended once you’ve run a handful of public games — the badge surfaces on your storefront, your listing cards, and any game-table community pages you maintain.

What gets you the Verified GM badge

PostRoll’s review team checks that you:

Have run TTRPG sessions before — portfolio links to SP, Roll20, a Discord community, a personal site, or your own previous play history on PostRoll all count.
Use table-safety practices (lines & veils, content warnings, session-zero questions, etc.) — even a short note describing yours is enough.
Operate the account yourself. Verification follows the human, not the storefront — once you’re verified, the badge applies to your GM storefront and any game-table communities you own.

There’s no “X years of experience” cutoff; consistency, honesty, and safety practice matter more than tenure.

How to apply

Open Settings → GM verification. Click your avatar at the bottom of the app sidebar, pick Settings, then GM verification. (Or Cmd/Ctrl-K → “GM verification”.)
Fill in the form: years running, languages, portfolio links (one per line), an optional highlight URL (an actual play VOD, a session recap), and 2-3 sentences on why you’d like verification.
Submit.
You’ll get a notification confirming the application was received, then another when a decision lands — usually within a few days.

While the application is pending, your storefront shows a small Application under review chip on your settings page (only you see it).

Other trust badges

PostRoll computes four behavioural badges nightly so visitors can read your storefront at a glance without needing your full review history. None of them are gameable — they’re all derived from attendance, application response time, and how often players come back.

Badge	When it shows up
Verified GM	The review team has approved your application (see above).
Quick responder	You decide applications within an hour on average across at least five recent decisions.
Prolific GM	You’ve run at least 100 hours of attended sessions on PostRoll.
Players return	Ten or more players have booked multiple sessions with you.
New GM	Your storefront is less than a month old — say hi when you see one.

The behavioural badges refresh every night, so a great week of sessions can move the needle the next day.

Where badges surface

Your storefront at /g/[your-slug] — under the GM credit and stat strip.
Listing cards anywhere your games appear — marketplace browse, outpost feeds, search results.
Game-table community pages you own (/t/[table-slug]) — the table inherits your verified badge.
