Wikilinks
Wikilinks are how a world stitches itself together. Type [[ anywhere you’re writing — in the main page, in the details panel — and a picker opens under your cursor. Keep typing to narrow it, press Enter or click to insert the link.
What you can link to
Section titled “What you can link to”The picker searches your current world and shows everything at once, each kind with its own marker:
| Marker | What it is |
|---|---|
| ◆ | An entity — the canonical person, place, faction or thing. Listed first, because “King Aldren” usually means the entity rather than a page about him. |
| 🕑 | A timeline event — links straight to that event on the world timeline. |
| 👤 | An actor — one of your character sheets. |
| 📖 | Published reference content — SRD spells, monsters, rules and the like, with the entry type and edition beside it. |
| (no marker) | A wiki page in this world. |
Entities, events and reference entries only appear once you’ve typed something — an empty [[ keeps the list to your own pages and entities.
Linking by alias
Section titled “Linking by alias”If an entity has aliases, typing one finds it. Write [[the lawmaker]] and the picker offers the Lawmaker → Aldren; pick it and the link points at Aldren while the sentence still reads “the Lawmaker”. Handy for epithets, titles, and names your players don’t know yet.
Linking across worlds
Section titled “Linking across worlds”Type [[@ to switch worlds. You get a 🌍 list of every world you own, bought, or had shared with you, plus a pseudo-world called Actors for your character sheets. Pick one and the picker switches to that world’s pages — the header reminds you which world you’re browsing, and typing @ again changes it.
Type [[srd: or [[ref: to search published reference content only.
Hovering a link
Section titled “Hovering a link”Hover any wikilink and a preview card appears — the page, entity, event, actor or reference entry it points to — so you can check you linked the right thing without leaving the sentence.
Changing how they look
Section titled “Changing how they look”The pill look is a personal preference, not a world setting. Under Settings → Appearance → Wikilinks you can switch to underlined, plain text, bracketed, or subtle. See Wikilink style.
