Chat
PostRoll’s chat is built for tabletop play. It handles the straightforward bits — direct messages, channels, voice — and adds a layer of GM tooling on top: secret rolls, sealed lore reveals, in-character personas, and a two-way bridge to the virtual tabletop.
What you can do here
Section titled “What you can do here”- Direct message other PostRoll users one-to-one.
- Channels in groups — your campaign group has channels for table chat, planning, OOC banter, GM-only notes.
- Roll dice with
/r 2d20kh1+5and friends; rolls render as embossed cards in the feed. - See who’s in voice — a room’s voice strip sits at the top of its channels with a one-click Join; the call itself lives in the play view.
- Mention people with
@nameand link entities with[[Aerin]]— both produce hover-card chips. - In-character mode posts as one of your characters, complete with portrait swap.
- Forward messages between conversations with attribution.
- Pin house rules, bookmark quotes, search within a conversation, see who’s online across the group.
