Remixing cards and templates

You rarely need to start a card from nothing. Remixing lets you build on what already exists — your own cards, official compendium content, and (when they allow it) other people’s work.

Duplicate a card

On any card’s page, click Duplicate (on your own cards) or Save a copy (on someone else’s). The copy lands in My Cards, owned by you, and you can edit it freely. The original card is never touched.

Change a card’s style

Click Change style… on a card’s page to move the card’s values onto a different template of the same card type — same spell, new look.

On your own cards, the new style is applied in place, or tick the option to keep a restyled copy instead.
On someone else’s card, you always get a copy — the original stays as its creator styled it.

Fork a template

Want to tweak a design rather than a single card?

On the Templates tab, use Duplicate on any of your templates or one shared with you.
In the Compendium, open a card and choose Use as starting point to get your own editable copy of the official design.

Either way you land in the Card Studio with a template that’s fully yours. Official designs themselves can’t be edited directly — your fork is where your changes live.

Save a copy from a feed

When someone posts a card and allows remixing, the post shows a Save a copy action. The copy is taken from the card as it looked when it was posted, so it works even if the original changes later.

Allow or block remixing

Every card you make has an Allow others to remix switch on its page. It’s on by default; turn it off and other people can no longer duplicate, restyle, or save copies of that card — even if it’s public or shared.
