Search & the Command Palette

Press ⌘K (Mac) or Ctrl+K anywhere in PostRoll to open the command palette — one box that finds anything you own, jumps to any screen, and runs quick actions. You can also open it from the Search button in the sidebar or top bar.

Open it empty and you’ll see your recent items, pages you can jump to, and quick actions — create a world, board, actor, scene, card, room, or collection; mark all chats read; or Get help to open guides for the screen you’re on.

Start typing and results stream in from everywhere: your worlds, wiki pages, boards, actors, scenes, cards, decks, rooms, tokens, assets, collections, chats, and your worlds’ people and places — plus posts, comments, and products from Outposts you can see. Results are grouped by kind; use ↑ ↓ to move, Enter to open, Esc to close.

Type filters straight into the box, mixed with your words:

Type What it does
type:actor Only that kind of result (type:scene, type:card, …)
actor:dave, w:exandria Shorthand scope + search text in one token
person:aldren, place:, faction: Search your worlds’ cast by role
#npc or tag:npc Only results carrying that tag
"the black drift" Exact phrase — results must contain it
in:recents, in:pages, in:actions Only that section
has:image Only results with artwork

For bigger triage, open postroll.app/app/search (or pick “See all results” in the palette). It shows the same search with tabs — All, Library (your own content), Posts, Comments, Products — plus filter chips for outpost, author, tag, dates, and product kind. The URL updates as you search, so you can share the exact view with anyone.

Each world also has its own Semantic search page — add /search to the end of the world’s web address. Instead of matching words, it finds passages that mean what you asked — across your wiki, session transcripts, and characters — and links back to the source. It’s a Booster AI tool, so switch it on first under Settings → AI tools.
