Join a game
Games on PostRoll happen in rooms — one room per campaign or group. Your GM invites you in; from there you RSVP, bring a character, and play.
Join the room
Section titled “Join the room”- Open the invite link your GM sent (it looks like
postroll.app/share/…). Sign in — or create an account — if asked. - That’s it: the link grants you access automatically, and you land in the room. If the GM invited your account directly instead, open the room from Rooms and click Accept Invite.
Find your way around
Section titled “Find your way around”The room is organised into tabs: Overview, Heroes, Schedule, Chronicle, Table, Chat, and Transcript. Overview is home base — the next session, the party, and what’s been happening.
RSVP to the next session
Section titled “RSVP to the next session”When your GM schedules a session, RSVP controls appear on the next-session banner and under Schedule. Pick Going, Maybe, or Can’t — everyone sees the live tally, so the GM knows whether game night is on.
Add your character
Section titled “Add your character”- On the Overview tab, find the Characters panel and choose Add your character.
- Pick one of your actors from the Select your character list. Don’t have one yet? Create it first under Actors in the sidebar, then come back.
- Your hero joins the roster — see the whole party in style on the Heroes tab.
What to expect in a live session
Section titled “What to expect in a live session”When it’s time to play, click Enter Play in the room’s top bar (or Join Play on the session banner). That opens the live table: the scene your GM has staged, with the map, tokens, and 3D dice rolling. Meanwhile:
- Chat keeps table talk and in-character banter flowing — during and between sessions.
- Table tracks the party roster and each character’s fate.
- Transcript collects memorable voice lines captured during play, and Chronicle holds recaps of sessions past.
