Rooms on a phone

Most of what a room is for between sessions is exactly what a phone is good at: saying yes to Saturday, voting in a poll, catching up on the chronicle, seeing who else has replied. All of that works.

Between sessions

The room’s tabs run along the bottom of the screen and scroll sideways — RSVP, availability, polls, the chronicle, boards and chat are all reachable without leaving the room. Anything that opens a form opens it as a sheet you can swipe away.

At the table

You can play from your phone. You will see the map, move your token, roll, and read the table chat — which covers most of what a player does for most of a session.

Running the table wants a bigger screen

Being the GM on a phone is a different matter. Painting walls, lights, fog and terrain is pointer work that needs elbow room, and we would rather say so than have you discover it ten minutes before a session. Run the table from a laptop or tablet; play from whatever you have.

If you open a live session on a small screen you will see a one-off note saying much the same thing. Dismiss it and it stays dismissed.
