Game log & chat during play
Two different records run alongside the map, and it’s worth knowing which is which.
The Game Log tab
Section titled “The Game Log tab”Open the scene sidebar (the GM button on the right edge) and pick the dice icon — Game Log. This is the room’s game-log channel: the durable, shareable record of what happened, with the same message list and input box as the chat sidebar. Rolls, plays and posts land here and stay here.
If the room hasn’t got a game-log channel linked, you get a live local log instead so plays still show up — but it’s ephemeral. Link a Game Log channel to the room if you want the timeline to persist and be shareable. See the room game log.
The Chat button
Section titled “The Chat button”The right-edge dock has a Chat button (the speech-bubbles icon, with an unread count when you’ve missed things). It opens the full chat in a sidebar over the map — all your channels, not just this room’s — so you can drop into an out-of-character channel or DM a player without leaving the table.
Click it again to close it.
See chat for channels, replies, in-character posting and everything else it can do.
