Layout blocks

Four blocks exist purely to arrange the rest. Each one holds other blocks inside it, so you can nest a table inside a column or a picture inside a collapsible section.

Two Columns

Inserting Two Columns (/columns) gives you two empty, editable columns side by side. Click into either and write, or insert further blocks with /.

Select the whole block — click its ⋮⋮ handle, or click near its outer edge — and a small floating toolbar appears above it with five arrangements:

  • Two equal
  • Left wide
  • Right wide
  • Three equal
  • Sidebars

Picking a three-column arrangement adds the extra column for you. Going back down to two doesn’t lose anything: whatever was in the extra columns is merged into the second one.

Grid

Section titled “Grid”

Grid (/grid) is for a proper rows-and-columns layout — a pantheon of gods, a rack of faction sigils, a set of location tiles. Each cell is a free-form block container.

Select the grid and its floating toolbar offers:

  • Add column / Remove column
  • Add row / Remove row
  • Toggle grid lines — draws borders around every cell

Adding a row or column fills the new cells with empty paragraphs automatically.

Collapsible Section

Collapsible Section (/collapsible) is a titled container readers can fold away. Use it for GM notes, long stat blocks, or anything that would otherwise bury the page.

  1. Type /collapsible and pick Collapsible Section.
  2. You’re asked for a Section title — type it and confirm. (You can leave it blank and add one later.)
  3. Write inside the section, or insert other blocks into it with /.

Click the little triangle beside the title to fold and unfold it. The title itself is editable in place — click it and type.

On the ⋮⋮ menu you also get:

  • Rename section — change the title from a prompt
  • Unwrap section — dissolve the container and leave its contents behind on the page

Table of contents

Table of contents (/toc) drops a live contents list into the page body, built from the headings you’ve written. Add or rename a heading and the list keeps up on its own; click an entry to jump there.

On the ⋮⋮ menu, Show title toggles the “Table of contents” caption above the list — turn it off when the block sits under a heading of your own.

This is different from the Outline in the details panel, which is always available at the side of the page for navigation. Use the block when you want the contents to be part of the page — a proper front page for a long gazetteer — and the outline when you just want to get around while writing.
