Announcing games & session highlights

PostRoll wires your Game listings into your Outpost’s feed so new games and session moments reach the players who already follow your work — no separate megaphone, no notification spam.

When you mark a listing Published, PostRoll auto-drafts a Listing announcement post on your storefront Outpost. The draft pre-fills with the listing’s title, tagline, cover image, format, next session time, and price — all the things a player needs to decide whether to book a seat. You just add your own intro in the GM message field and hit Publish.

  1. Publish the listing from the Listing editor.
  2. Open your Outpost and switch to Drafts in the post composer.
  3. Find the listing announcement draft, edit the body to taste, and click Publish.
  4. The post lands in the home feeds of members, followers, and — most strongly — players who follow you personally as a GM.

Already published an announcement and want another push later (e.g. seats reopened, new session date)? Open the listing’s settings and click Announce listing. You can either drop it straight as a draft for review, or check Publish immediately to skip the draft state.

After a session wraps, your highlight library gathers the ingredients for a post players will actually re-share:

  • Transcript clips — PostRoll suggests the top 1-3 moments from the session’s transcript (the longest, most emphatic turns, with a per-speaker cap so one player doesn’t monopolise).
  • Scene screenshots — pick a VTT scene snapshot.
  • Player quotes — paste a memorable line.
  • Dice moments — notable rolls (coming soon).
  • Art — link a player-submitted post or asset.
  1. Open the session from your GM dashboard → Sessions tab.
  2. Click Wrap session → Highlights.
  3. Review the suggested transcript clips, dismiss the ones you don’t want, and add manual entries if needed.
  4. Pick 1-3 to Promote to feed. Each promoted highlight becomes a draft Session highlight post on your storefront Outpost.
  5. Edit each draft (captions, ordering), then publish.

The home feed mixes recency, engagement, and personal signal. A listing or highlight post from you gets:

  • A small boost over plain posts because it’s a high-signal kind.
  • A much bigger boost for viewers who follow you as a GM (via your storefront’s Follow button or your profile).
  • An additional lift for viewers whose system / world / genre preferences match your listing’s tags.

Followers see your announcements near the top of their home feed for a day or two; casual outpost-followers see them mid-feed; non- followers won’t usually see them at all unless the post racks up engagement.
