Paths that draw over time
A journey, a campaign march, or an expanding trade route can draw itself as history unfolds. Tag a path’s events with how far along the route they reveal, and the time slider extends the line leg-by-leg.
Mark a reveal point
Section titled “Mark a reveal point”- Click the path to open its tool panel.
- In Linked timeline events, click Add timeline event and pick the event for this leg.
- Set Reveals up to point to the waypoint index the route should reach after that event (0 is the first point).
- Add an event for each leg. The chip shows the reveal extent, e.g.
→ 2/5.
How it draws
Section titled “How it draws”- Before the first reveal event, the path is hidden entirely.
- After each event, the path is drawn from the start up to that event’s waypoint.
- Once the last event is reached, the whole path is drawn.
A path with no reveal points behaves like any other feature — it simply appears when its first linked event happens.
